Experience the drama of Ireland’s tallest cliffs and Europe’s third-highest sea cliffs on a full-day tour along Achill Island’s rugged northern coastline aboard our Noirin Bán.
Croaghaun Cliff Tour Overview
Your adventure begins at Dugort Pier on Achill Island, where our boat will take you along the rugged northern coastline. Pass iconic sights including Sliabh Mór, dramatic seal caves, Annagh Beach, and Annagh Head, before reaching the towering Croaghaun Cliffs, Ireland’s highest sea cliffs and the 3rd highest in Europe at 688 m (2,257 ft).
On the rare occasion when sea conditions prevent access to the cliffs, we offer an alternative tour to the Historic Village of Blacksod, with an optional visit to Blacksod Lighthouse to continue your adventure safely.
Time to Explore
While the tour focuses on the cliffs from the water, you also have time to enjoy the stunning coastal scenery along the northern side of Achill Island. Keep your camera ready for seabirds, seals, and the dramatic landscapes that make this area so unique.
Optional Highlights
Enhance your experience with wildlife spotting along the route, including opportunities to see dolphins, seabirds, and seals. Whether you reach the Croaghaun Cliffs or explore Blacksod Village, this tour provides a full day of adventure, dramatic landscapes, and unforgettable views.
Food and Refreshments
While there are no facilities on the cliffs themselves, Dugort and nearby Achill Island villages offer a selection of cafés, pubs, and restaurants where you can enjoy lunch or refreshments before or after your tour.
